Publication Ethics
Troika Press is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and transparency in all aspects of our publishing process. Our commitment is guided by the principles established by the Committee on Publishing Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
We encourage authors, editors, and reviewers to adhere to our ethical policies to ensure all submissions meet the required standards. Submissions that fail to comply will not be considered, and any published articles found to fall short will be promptly corrected or retracted as needed.
Responsibility of Authors:
The responsibilities of authors are included here.
Responsibility of Editors and independent reviewers:
Editors and independent reviewers are required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts. They are expected to provide timely, objective, and unbiased scientific evaluations of the work. Additionally, they should disclose any conflicts of interest in accordance with the guidelines here.
Responsibility of Publisher
In cases of scientific misconduct, fraudulent publication, or plagiarism, the publisher, in collaboration with editors, will take measures to address the issue, such as publishing an erratum, clarification, or retracting the work in severe cases. They will also take steps to prevent such misconduct and never encourage or knowingly allow it.
Plagiarism and other fraud:
The authors are responsible for guaranteeing the originality of their work. Upon submission, all manuscripts are rigorously evaluated to identify any previously published material. We work with CrossRef to use iThenticate to detect plagiarism. iThenticate gives a ‘similarity index’, which is the word-by-word copying of materials from previously published literature. If plagiarism is detected during the peer review process, the manuscript may be rejected.
Data presented in the work must be accurate, truthful, and not manipulated. Concerning the submitted data are routinely examined for the presence of duplicated, or otherwise apparently anomalous.
If the journal editor has a reason to suspects that a manuscript involves plagiarism or fraudulent data, they reserve the right to report their concerns to the authors’ sponsoring institution and other relevant authorities. In such cases, a preliminary investigation will be conducted in accordance with the flowcharts provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Copyright violation:
Where relevant, it is the responsibility of the authors to obtain permission from copyright holders and to ensure that the use of images, data and illustrations in the manuscript does not violate copyright laws.
Corrections:
If an error in any of the published manuscript is brought to Editor’s attention, and the required changes can influence the interpretation of the data and associated conclusions without fully invalidating the entire study, the Editor will decide whether the changes may be corrected through the publication of an erratum, correction or notice of concern at the earliest possible date.
Retraction:
If the interpretation of the data and associated conclusions are severely undermined and may invalidate the study as a whole, the Editor reserves the right to have the published articles retracted. Troika Press will follow the COPE guidelines in such cases. The retracted article and the reason(s) for retraction will be clearly stated.
Ethics approval and informed consent:
Policies for ethics approval and informed consent are given here.
Conflict of interest:
It is mandatory that authors, editors and independent reviewers disclose conflict of interest as described here.

Permanent preservation of published articles is done via PORTICO. For articles that are rejected, we will comply with requests from authors to delete files.
