Conflict of interest

Troika Press strictly follows the ICMJE guidelines on conflict of interest to ensure transparency and fairness in the research and publication process. Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed to avoid actual or perceived bias.

For Authors

Authors must disclose all relationships and activities that could influence or appear to influence their work when submitting a manuscript. These include but are not limited to:

  • Financial Conflicts of Interest: Employment, consultancies, stock ownership or options, honoraria, patents, or paid expert testimony.
  • Non-Financial Conflicts of Interest: Personal relationships or rivalries, academic competition, or intellectual beliefs.

If no conflicts exist, authors should include the statement, such as:
“The authors declare no potential conflicts of interest with respect to research, authorship, and/or publication of this article.”

For Reviewers

Reviewers must assess whether they have any potential conflicts of interest before agreeing to review a manuscript. If conflicts exist, they must inform the editors and decline the review. Reviewers are prohibited from using unpublished information obtained during the review process for personal gain.

For Editors

Editors responsible for final decisions must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts if a potential conflict of interest exists. Relevant editorial staff must not use unpublished information for personal benefit.

All manuscripts must include a conflict of interest statement to ensure integrity and transparency throughout publication.
